Job Description
You will support on the monthly management accounts, and have the opportunity to business partner across different departments and levels. This is a fast-paced environment, so the successful candidate will need to be efficient, proactive, and work collaboratively within the business.
- Ownership of the small entities, which involves cash flow, preparation of monthly management accounts, nominal account reconciliations, annual/ ad hoc budgeting and reforecasting process
- Support the year end and interim process
- Point of contact for external auditors’ queries
- Preparation of statutory accounts and utilization of the group consolidation system to guarantee results are included in the group view and balance sheet account changes are filed correctly
- Review the balance sheet and monthly preparation of reconciliations
- Evaluate the monthly/ quarterly VAT report and submit returns
- Review and submit monthly EC sales list
- Intercompany balances/ recharges – monthly review, journal entries, invoicing, reconciliation and maintain timely settlement
- Arranging weekly payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Maintain monthly accruals and prepayments schedules
- Monthly Cost analysis/ tracking e.g., capital expenditure
- Quarterly ONS returns
- Yearly upkeep of process notes for the team’s usual responsibilities
- Attentive filing for all payments/ receipts, and efficient recording of all relevant electronic records
- Cover for the Accounts Assistant/ treasury team when required
- Assess the company credit card charges
