Job Description
- The Finance Systems & Projects team reports to the Director of Financial Services and is looking to bring in an Assistant Systems Accountant.
- This is an exciting opportunity in an area that has extensive Finance system, data, process and reporting deliverables and is involved in large corporate projects.
- The Assistant Systems Accountant role will help to maintain the financial systems and interfaces which support the production of the financial accounts.
- The role will be responsible for ensuring that the systems are fit for purpose and meet user requirements.
- In addition the post-holder will be responsible for ensuring Finance staff are using the systems efficiently and effectively.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience of working on systems in a large organization
- Experience of preparing either financial or management accounts
- Understanding of the General Ledger
- Understanding of the construction of a Chart of Accounts
- Experience of supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12 financial modules
- Analytic skills with a good eye for detail
- Experience of systems upgrades
- An affinity with the work of the social housing / care sector
