Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant is responsible for providing efficient and accurate processing and reporting function for the UK office, Service Charge and project companies of the property group. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting and reporting functions of the UK operations.

As a key member of the Finance team, the role will provide services to various departments within the company, group companies and external customers and suppliers.

Main Duties:

  • To provide information and analyses to management for decision making and reporting
  • To ensure that all routine processing is completed in an accurate manner to satisfy strict monthly deadlines.
  • Processing/reviewing purchase orders and invoices, including monitoring authorisation process for UK office, building service charge and project companies
  • Reviewing cheque payments and checking accounting transactions onto Excel and Oracle
  • Monitoring funding requirements and cashflow positions
  • Reviewing cashbooks and bank reconciliations, raising recharge invoices and reviewing expense claims
  • Handling queries from head office, other departments and external suppliers
  • Carrying out credit control on rental income
  • Monitoring operational and capital expenditure and managing service charge expenditure
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and related schedules within deadlines
  • Monthly VAT preparation and reporting as required
  • Preparing projected Cashflows
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Chasing and following up outstanding receivables
  • Preparing quarterly reforecast and quarterly reports/schedules within deadlines
  • Preparing annual budgets & statutory accounts
  • Organising statutory audit, liaise with auditors and answer audit queries
  • Preparing tax computations, completing tax returns and preparing P11D and PSA calculations
  • Ad hoc duties including cost analysis, tax planning and systems and methodology designing/enhancing

You will build good relationships and have exceptional Customer Service Skills.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Some post-qualification work in the UK Good Excel skills Confidential at all times Methodical, well organised and detail orientated Willing to learn and a 'can do' attitude Able to deliver under tight deadlines Accounting training at a large UK firm Full company accounting experience Oracle and other financial systems
