Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Commercial Management

  • Monitoring the day-to-day financial functions, such as payroll, month end and VAT returns.
  • Producing monthly and ad hoc management reports.
  • Reviewing and signing off complex client contracts and proposals, able to calculate risks and make company decisions with confidence.
  • Supporting the development and submission of EOIs, RFPs and assisting in client negotiations.
  • Management of insurance policies for the company.
  • Oversight of company pension scheme and administer share holder schemes.
  • Understanding and adhering to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Line management of Finance and Operations Manager.
  • Assisting with submissions for expressions of interest and proposals.
  • Providing analytical support for Project Managers and Technical Directors on project finance and resource planning.
  • Supporting client relationships and participating in board meetings.
  • Assisting the senior team with planning and forecasting data, including business analysis and performance measures for the smooth operation of the organisation.
  • Providing risk management information, analysis of market trends and challenge assumptions at high level where necessary.
  • Developing finance and business strategies.
  • Developing and reporting on targets based on strategies for commercial growth and diversification.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate

  • Experience of international trade would be an advantage
  • Client contract review and management
  • Experience of the financial and legal requirements of non-profit organisations would be an advantage
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience - Study support
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, able to draw on a range of information and market trends to solve problems, make decisions and provide insight and advice
  • Fully IT literate: a high-level user of Office 365, with a particular emphasis on Advanced Excel
  • Risk management experience
  • Degree-level qualification in finance, accountancy, business, economics or related field.
