Job Description

Key responsibilities within the role will include:

• Lead a small transactional team and oversee all AP & AR requirements
• Ownership of the general ledger integrity, ensuring all payments and transactions are accurately reconciled
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Trial balance preparation, posting monthly journals and review accruals
• Quarterly VAT returns and PAYE submissions
• Ad hoc month end support to the Head of Finance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified or will be studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). Whilst this is a management position candidates that are looking to make their first step into management will be considered as well as those with prior experience leading small teams. You will need to be a confident user of Excel and will have experience reviewing complex financial data. Prior experience using SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
