Job Description

This is a varied bookkeeping role and the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day finances of the company, liaising with external accountants regarding year end and management accounts.

  • Maintaining the purchase ledger and sales ledger
  • The ability to extract accounting information from in-house software
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Posting journals (such as payroll)
  • Preparing and reconciling quarterly VAT returns
  • Raising invoices for the intercompany transactions
  • Dealing with completion statements and finance documents
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • The ability to work independently
  • Highly experienced Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant
  • Highly competent with Sage
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
