The successful Interim Regulatory Reporting Officer will have the following responsibilities:
Preparation and assistance for all EBA/FCA /PRA & BOE/ legacy FSA Regulatory returns.
Preparing excel sheets for validation of data items for the COREP, FINREP, LIQREP, AMM, AE in accordance with the regulatory rules and instructions.
Preparing and documenting validation of the regulatory returns to the Banks' Trial Balance, Financial statements and Management Accounts and identifying any adjustments and corrections.
Manual input to OSX and other regulatory reporting software as well as making adjustments on populated amounts as per the signed adjustments document.
Generating, populating, inputting, checking and submitting the regulatory returns after management sign off using the WKFS OneSumX solution via Gabriel, BEEDS and OSCA
Ensuring the Regulatory reporting software is updated with the correct versions and liaising with respective Help desks to resolve any problems
Solving any validation issues within OSX and Gabriel through WKFS Help desk
Solving any data capture issues with IT Help Desk
Preparation of variance analysis of the recent templates against previous return
Testing, creating and assessing and taking an active role in the UAT process of new Regulatory Reports as and when they arise and in good time.
Maintain awareness of new regulations and any upcoming changes in regulatory reporting
Ensure adequate and descriptive operating procedures are documented, maintained and up to date
Liaising with external auditors and preparing support documents in response to their enquiries
Preparation and support in generation of the monthly Management Accounts
Preparation of variance analysis and commentary
Provision of supporting MI charts / tables
Maintaining a full and correct General Ledger and making updates as necessary
Assist with the Annual Budget process including spread sheet analysis of Revenue/Expenses and Balance Sheet and variances to prior year
Assist in the yearly external audit process and any other internal or adhoc audits pertaining to the department
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report and Financial Statements of the Bank
Process of necessary accounting and banking data e.g. accounting entries, account maintenance, interest rate changes etc.
Preparation and distribution of various internal MIS reports as directed including statistical reporting for other departments e.g. Trade Finance
Support in maintaining departmental filing and security of documents in accordance with the Banks archiving policies
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Accounting qualification Experience in preparing regulatory returns including EBA COREP / FINREP as well as BOE/PRA returns Advanced Excel skills, i.e. look ups, pivots etc. Understanding of current accounting principles relevant to the role especially IFRS
