Job Description
  • Responsible for maintaining financial records and dealing with financial administration for the Operations in line with our procedures.
  • They will be expected to manage the routine day-to-day aspects of the financial operations as well as ensuring that the Operation are delivered in accordance with the agreed financial profiles in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager. 
  • Required to support procurement activity for the Operations. 
  • Responsible for organizing their own work and coordinating with the work of others to ensure that deadlines are met and the day to day financial management of the Operations runs smoothly
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of the quarterly claims with the Senior Project Manager: 
  • Knowledgeable in the University’s financial guidelines and be able to provide advice on the eligibility of spend and procurement issues and communicate this to the Team 
  • Responsible for managing the quarterly Management Verification checks, collating evidence to support the financial transactions sampled, together with any Internal Audits

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You do not need to be able to converse in sentences to apply for this role, you will be expected to develop the ability to pronounce Welsh words, e.g. place names, department names and be able to answer the phone in Welsh with ‘bore da / prynhawn da’ (good morning / afternoon) or learn very basic every-day words and phrases (thank you, please, excuse me etc) to support the University’s commitment to being a bilingual institution. Level 1 can be reached by completing a one-hour training course delivered by the University.
