Job Description

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Data & Analytics department to provide psychometric and data analysis support for a variety of language tests. You will take responsibility for evaluating test data and producing statistical reports to a demanding schedule that requires accuracy and attention to detail.

A major part of this role involves carrying out statistical and data analysis to ensure our examinations provide valid and accurate results. This encompasses areas such as establishing the measurement characteristics of test materials, malpractice detection, examiner monitoring, grading and performance analysis.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential

  • A degree or equivalent qualification, preferably with a focus on statistics, mathematics, computing, psychology, language testing, educational measurement, or social sciences.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Interest and potential to learn and understand statistical approaches used to address challenges in our context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Programming experience in languages such as SAS, R and Python.
  • Working knowledge of data management, statistical analysis and quantitative research methods.
