Participate in the delivery of quality assured health related information
Work autonomously to produce reports on public health issues relating to relevant councils for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding, identifying trends accurately from various data sets and exercising own judgement in presentation of potentially contentious/sensitive data.
Be responsible for proactively updating key public health data sources from a wide range of sources.
Maintain records of work commissioned and the timeliness of its delivery.
Develop and improve systems for the storage and delivery of health information.
Participate in appropriate Public Health related education, training and professional development activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Extensive working knowledge of MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Good general knowledge of public health and public health practice, including Joint Strategic Needs Assessments
Strong analytical stills
Advanced use of spreadsheet, database, statistical and other IT packages
Ability to apply statistical, analytical and epidemiological knowledge to NHS and public and health related policies and strategies.
Ability to communicate data to public health professionals and non-expert staff using a variety of formats (e.g. reports, charts, tables, presentations)
Collate, check, complete, produce, and present information relating to a service user's activities, finances and capabilities using statistical data to enhance understanding and decision making Plus key terms/ terminology/requirements for benefit entitlements, claims and returns
Manage your own workload
Gather financial information related to the appointee
Demonstrate an understanding of the safe working practices that apply to this role
Develop user guides and training documentations for appointee
