Testing web-based applications (and occasionally mobile applications on iOS and Android).
Detect software defects in the issue-tracking system JIRA and proactively communicate with software developers.
Execute automated test scripts and evaluate results.
Create, review, and edit test cases using X-Ray or other test cases management tools.
Use various testing types and methodologies such as exploratory, functional, black box, browser compatibility, usability, end-to-end, user acceptance, regression, integration, and synthetic testing.
Assist in the identification of new procedures, methods and/or tools to improve the efficiency of the QA process.
Assist in the design and requirements gathering process for new products.
Provide QA support for scheduled deployments/releases
Work with development teams to review test gaps and resolve them
Develop strong relationships to collaborate effectively with colleagues both within the QA team and cross-functionally.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or another technical degree.
Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies (Scrums/Kanban).
Familiarity with basic coding and scripting (both to help with white box testing and for creating/updating automated tests).
Full software development lifecycle familiarity.
Experience with Shopify Plus, Magento, BigCommerce or other eCommerce solutions
