Job Description

We are seeking a professional and friendly person to lead the small reception team at their innovative new HQ. As the senior member of the Reception team, the successful candidate will be comfortable leading by example and will have experience of operating in a supervisory capacity. Often acting as the first point of contact (either in person, email or by telephone) it is essential the role holder demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, courteous professionalism at all times.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across several operational functions; from clerical and supervisory based tasks to undertaking H&S and facilities related duties. Our Reception team will work as an integrated part of the team, so the successful candidate should be capable of proactively managing a varied workload, whilst dealing with competing demands.

The role holder be required to work closely with the Facilities Manager (who will be their line manager) to develop a seamless link between the front and back of house services. This collaborative approach to building management will help promote a smoother, safer and more efficiently run site.

There will be a rota-based system to ensure the reception desk remains staffed during core business hours (08:00 to 18:00 Mon-Fri). There will also be a requirement to provide occasional out-of-hours events support when needed.
