Job Description

• As an integral senior member of the Biologics Analysis/ Characterisation team, you will be bringing your wealth of expertise of pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical analysis, to use a variety of protein characterisation techniques and quantitative mass spectrometry techniques for analysis of Biopharmaceutical products.

• You will take an active part in working across a range of projects involving bioanalysis, method development and method validation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• You will hold a BSc/ MSc/ PhD (or equivalent research experience) in Biochemistry/ Chemistry (or in a related scientific discipline).

• You will be confident in the use of mass spectrometry instrumentation in an industrial setting (advantageous from a CRO setting) for planning and performing bioanalysis work; generating and interpreting data, and generating reports when required, representing the Biologics group.

• You will possess in-depth knowledge in all practical aspects of one or more protein characterisation techniques such as ELISA, CE-SDS, cIEF and residual impurity analysis techniques for the analysis of Biopharmaceutical products.

• You will have comprehensive experience working in a GxP regulatory environment, with a strong understanding of GMP principles.

• You will have some experience training, supervising and mentoring junior analysts.

• Method development and validation experience would be advantageous.
