This is a key role as Reception is often the first point of contact for visitors and staff and maintaining a good first impression is important to the reputation of the University and the building's occupiers. The role holder is required to demonstrate excellent communication skills to a wide ranging and group of visitors and staff.
Additionally, the role-holder assists in accepting and distributing post into post trays, courier deliveries and collections, parcel acceptance and logging receiving items. Also liaison with caterers supplying Lecture Theatre with refreshments, and with the booking and administration of local meeting rooms. This involves receiving and acting upon all requests for information verbal, written and electronic, booking rooms, entering booking details and liaison via email. Facilitating on site interviews for tenants including copying identification documents and basic liaison with interviewees where required.
