Job Description
The Finance Department ensures the preparation of accurate, up-to-date and timely financial and management information, for the Bursar, College Council, College Committees and budget holders across all College departments.
The Head of Finance will be involved in wider activities concerning the 31 Cambridge colleges and will attend meetings of the College Accountants and the Intercollegiate Committee on College Accounts. Opportunities may also arise to become involved in specific activities in support of shared inter-collegiate accounting objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with a proven track record of leading a high calibre finance function and producing full financial and statutory accounts. You will have the communication skills to engage with staff at all levels and this role will suit an immediately available candidate or one on short notice period. Due to the urgent nature of the role, there is scope for an immediate start and there is potential to extend into a permanent opportunity.
