Job Description

We are introducing a new innovative role of Digital Services Manager to join us on a permanent basis to roll out our digital services objectives across the Practice. Reporting into the Partner / Head of Digital and into the Board via the Board Sponsor, this is a unique opportunity to shape a key part of our future business offering.

The role can be based in any of our offices along with some hybrid working in line with the requirements of the job, however travel to other offices will also be required.

The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: -

  • Preparing of management information and management reporting – to including forecasts and cash flows
  • Preparing financial statements and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders up to the audit threshold
  • Leveraging digital tools to support the delivery of bookkeeping services and quarterly VAT returns
  • Delivery of digital services including digital health checks and efficiency reviews
  • Working as part of the digital services team supporting the delivery of app research and recommendation engagements based upon the respective app ecosystems
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Undertaking business advisory work including budgeting, cash flow and management / board reporting
  • Reviewing new technologies and identifying tools to generate additional value or efficiency
  • Preparing proposals for new projects
  • Delivery of internal training and support with ongoing up skilling of colleagues

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Outgoing, socially confident and emotionally controlled
  • Experience of using Xero and QuickBooks
  • Experience of using other common digital tools
  • A positive attitude, friendly and approachable
  • Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently / flexibly
  • Adaptable, organized and conscientious
  • Takes the initiative, ability to priorities and meet deadlines
  • A self-starter whilst also able to work with support
  • Innovative and confident with the ability to contribute ideas and proposals for change
  • Discreet, professional and team orientated in approach
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Experience of working in a practice-based environment in a Managerial, Assistant Manager or Leadership role
  • Up to date knowledge and continuing CPD of developments in the digital accountancy space
  • Excellent working knowledge of general IT Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media programmes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Ability to present information effectively and concisely in emails and documents
  • AAT or ACA / ACCA qualified
  • Good general education, including English and Math at GCSE Grade C or equivalent
