Job Description

This role will take responsibility for ensuring all financial processes and procedures are carried out effectively and in accordance with relevant accountant standards.
Key duties will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Providing financial advice to support academies with decision making
• Management of the shared services finance team
• Review of and improvement of financial processes and systems
• To support the timely accurate submission of regulatory returns
• Cash flow forecasting
• Budget management
• Facilitate external audit of annual statutory accounts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will ideally be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant skills and experience. You will be a strong communicator and able to work with a range of stakeholders. Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.
