Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity where you will manage a shared services Centre team for the UK & Europe to ensure that the teams provide timely and accurate information to support the production of monthly/annual accounts.
Key duties will include:

  • Establishing standard processes across the team, entities managed and systems (SAP and Sage)
  • Providing a link between the shared service team and entity accountant for financial accounting matters.
  • Use reporting functionality to effectively analyze key data, and establish KPI’s to ensure effective and accurate operation of the purchase ledger/sales ledger functions.
  • Report aged debts and work with sales functions to support the collection of open balances.
  • Support the resolution of outstanding purchase ledger queries by liaising with internal departments (purchasing, procurement, and warehouse) and external vendors to ensure successful completion.
  • Management of purchase ledger tasks to include the GRNI and stock in transit process
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Assist with both internal and external auditors.
  • Use reporting functionality of SAP and Excel

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate will be ideally be a formally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with experience of working in a medium to large sized business within finance operations. Those who are part-qualified / qualified by experience with demonstrable experience will also be considered. You will be used to managing a team and have excellent communication skills.
