Job Description

You will be the lead in finance and will ensure that the finance and payroll function operates effectively and efficiently. They will identifying and rectifying problems, as well as implementing process improvements. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly and monthly payroll 
  • CIS returns and statements (3 companies)
  • VAT preparation and filing 
  • Statutory reporting and payments
  • Sales & purchase ledger 
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Production of monthly management reports 
  • Intercompany accounts
  • Overseeing year end procedures and preparation of year end accounts 
  • Petty cash control
  • Other commercial tasks as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We’re looking for an experienced candidate, either AAT or QBE, with great all-round accounting and payroll experience. The company runs its finances via a Sage based system and experience of the software would be a strong advantage. Excellent organization skills, the ability to manage one finance assistant and a great sense of humor all essential!
