Job Description

This is an important and highly challenging role within a complex environment. To enhance project performance and allow project professionals to make informed, data driven decisions we are developing a new cost control section.

You will be central in shaping and developing the section, including both the technical and behavioral areas. The role will be both flexible and agile, meaning that we can shape our working patterns to suit personal circumstance and work from multiple locations, home or office as required.

You will be responsible for delivery and over site of our contractual deliverables for a major project. Ensuring that the cost team is maximizing support to the project delivery team.

This will include governance and advice on cost capture; the collection, processing and analysis of actuals data; providing multi-layered reporting both internally and externally and providing justification, analysis and recommendations based on data and supporting investigations.

You will also be responsible for the coordination and development of a team of highly motivated senior cost controllers.

You’ll bring an understanding of project controls, specifically cost control, earned value, finance, scheduling or estimating to the role. You will be degree qualified and ideally hold a qualification equivalent.

You’ll have experience of a cost control/management environment, manage actuals and change against multiple cost performance baselines, conduct data analysis and recommendations, coordinate forecasts from activity owners and in-depth investigations as well as experience of qualifying Defence Contracts/Single Source Regulations.

You will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including stakeholder management and show personal effectiveness and drive.
