Job Description

They are currently looking for a Principal Cost Controller to play a key role in the delivery of the UK’s nuclear submarine deterrent, enhancing project performance and helping project professionals to make informed, data driven decisions through the development of a new cost control section.
The role will be both flexible and agile, meaning that working patterns can be tailored to suit personal circumstance and work from multiple locations, home or office as required.
The Principal Cost Controller will be a subject matter expert, responsible for delivery and oversight of contractual deliverables for a major project, ensuring that the cost team is maximizing support to the project delivery team. This will include governance and SME advice on cost capture; the collection, processing and analysis of actuals data; providing multi-layered reporting both internally and externally and providing justification, analysis and recommendations based on data and supporting investigations. You will also be responsible for the coordination and development of a team of highly motivated senior cost controllers.
You’ll bring an understanding of project controls, specifically cost control, earned value, finance, scheduling or estimating to the role. 
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills including stakeholder management and will show personal effectiveness and drive.
