Job Description
Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Finance your role will include preparing Financial Accounts, posting journals and dealing with balance sheet reconciliations. You will be a full or part qualified financial accountant, with an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
The hours of work will be 24 hours a week, with some flexibility surrounding these.
What will you be doing as a Financial Accountant?
- Preparing financial accounts, posting journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Undertaking regular weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Preparing the necessary regular returns and reconciliations for Tax, VAT and Payroll.
- Preparing appropriate returns and reports, including those for the Charity Commission, HMRC, National Statistics and other regulatory bodies.
- Improving financial processes, procedures and controls, particularly a large capital expenditure programme.
- Undertaking both internal and external audit processes and procedures.
- Preparing management accounts and budgets, including stakeholder reviews.
