Job Description

• Carrying out reviews of pricing models as directed by the Pricing Assurance Manager.
• Creating datasets for analysis and carrying out detailed analysis to a high standard.
• Ensuring that as part of analysis, consideration is given to the impact on customers of pricing actions and act to avoid any unfair treatment.
• Building and maintaining good relationships with all the Pricing teams.
• Taking responsibility for keeping up to date with new statistical predictive modelling techniques for pricing.
• Ensuring that a high quality governance of pricing activity is provided in all analysis, providing expert challenge.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Educated to a degree level or evidence of equivalent proficiency.
• Knowledge of the UK General Insurance Market.
• Good presentation, influencing and persuasiveness skills.
• Ability to grasp the significance and meaning of a range of technical and complex issues.
• Ability to build and maintain good relationships with all the Pricing teams and other key stakeholders.
• Good programming skills in at least one language (SAS, R, Python etc.), with a solid understanding of algorithm design.
