Job Description

The post holder will work under the management and direction of the PPE manager to ensure an equitable and appropriate distribution of stock across the organization.

  • The post holder will be responsible for receiving PPE deliveries on behalf of the organization ensuring stock is recorded and stored appropriately.
  • Stock rotation and regular stock checks are an essential component of this role.
  • Effective materials management of Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) stock to support staff and service users.
  • Reviewing and maintaining optimum stock levels of all products to be materially managed.
  • To provide administrative support within the PPE Team within standard administrative procedures and contribute to the planning and development of the service/department as a member of the team.
  • To work to own initiative to resolve problems of stock rotation or administrative nature within pre-defined limits.
  • Ensure that PPE and equipment is appropriately stored in order to ensure easy visibility for stock checking and picking and prevent damage to stock, and ensuring manual handling policies and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Work to time scales to ensure that stock is picked and delivered to the appropriate area.
  • This will involve safe and efficient packing, transportation and delivery of goods and hazardous substances across the Trust footprint in the Trust provided vehicle.
  • To implement an effective stock recording system ensuring that stock spreadsheet is maintained and updated with received and distributed on a daily basis.
