Job Description

We wish to appoint an experienced and highly organized Assistant Secretary with excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate would also be expected to cross cover for medical secretarial colleagues at times of annual leave/sickness/high volume of workload.
Working as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience of Microsoft packages and having worked in a similar position would be advantageous.
Support in providing a secretarial service including typing of correspondence, reports, documents, transcribing audio sources, supporting the use of clinical and corporate systems as appropriate (e.g. data input, spreadsheet design, production of presentations, word processing, etc).
Contribute to best practice and assist in developing working practices in the unit/team to deliver an efficient and effective administration service, ensuring Trust priorities.
Priorities and allocate work accordingly.
Support of nursing teams at meetings by arranging the meetings, preparing appropriate paperwork and taking the minutes.
Support the Unit Secretary with the booking of annual leave for nursing team and inputting onto E-Roster.
Telephone management of sensitive and confidential nature.
