Job Description

Our Regulatory Reporting Accountants are responsible for the production of annual, monthly and weekly reports and all Lloyd’s returns. They also have involvement with our auditors and work closely with our operational hub in Swansea.

Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Manager key responsibilities are to:

· Ensure figures agree to the trial balance and are consistent between disclosure notes

· Incorporate all changes required by FRS, Lloyd’s Byelaws and the Insurance Accounts Directive (Lloyd’s) Regulations 2008 (with auditor guidance)

· Coordinate with the Active Underwriter, Risk Office, other Executive Officers and external PR agencies to update commentaries

· Coordinate with internal Actuaries and external investment managers to compile risk disclosures

· Write up accounting position papers to support a valuation or disclosure in company financials by working with other Finance team members

· Complete early drafts in good time to allow several layers of internal/external reviews

· Assist in treasury related tasks, such as:

· Monitor liquidity position of the Syndicate and improve short-term cash-flow forecasting

· Maintain Syndicate and Group bank accounts and mandates

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will have insurance experience from any market/industry with a strong grasp of insurance accounting and knowledge of Lloyd’s reporting requirements. Ideally you be part or fully ACA or ACCA qualified and be a self-starting critical thinker with the capacity to question veracity.
