Job Description

- Reviewing, implementing and maintaining all policies and procedures
- Creating and leading the HR Strategy plans
- Reviewing and implementing employee benefits and compensation packages
- Creating job adverts and supporting with the recruitment of the company
- Overseeing the onboarding and induction of new starters
- Assisting with staff retention strategies
- Working with the Training Manager to identify any skill gaps and propose a development plan
- Working with Managers across the business to resolve individual performance issues
- Point of contact for all employee relation issues such as sickness, absences, disciplinaries and grievances
- Leading mental health and wellbeing activities and introducing ideas across the business to support employees
- Keeping updated with new employment law legislations and changes and implementing them into the business to ensure it is kept compliant
- Providing general HR advice and guidance to the business
- Maintaining personnel files and documentations on the HR system (SAGE 50)
- Managing the Health and safety requirements for all offices and branches
- Administering company pension scheme for all employees
- Payroll - This is currently done inhouse but are open to outsourcing it
- Recruitment of your own team in the future


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualified
- Experience of working in a similar role at a similar level/ generalist HR experience
- Passionate about making changes for the better
- Confident in advising management teams on all aspects of HR matters
- A mental health / wellbeing first aider would be advantageous but not essential but MUST have a good understanding and want to impose activities to support employees
- Strong knowledge of employment law
- Ability to handle challenging matters at all levels
- Strong written, speaking and listing skills
- Show a caring and empathetic attitude towards staff
