Duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
You will focus both on new business development by generating and qualifying sales lead / enquiries while supporting and growing existing relationships to increase sales across a portfolio of selected customers.
You will work closely with the Business development team providing market knowledge, influences and work with company CRM, Saleforce to ensure client information is current
You will work closely with colleagues in quality, development and manufacturing functions to support new client programmes are delivered on time and budget.
As the Business Development Manager you will be expected to deliver presentations to new and existing customers, interact across all communication platforms on a regular basis and be the face of the company at key events, conferences and exhibitions. This is a customer facing role and it is expected you will travel on a regular basis across the EU.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Educated to degree level, ideally in the life sciences, and with at least three years’ direct experience in a contract services environment.
Direct experience of selling of biologic/sterile manufacturing filling services would be highly advantageous Must have operated in a customer facing role interacting in the Pharmaceutical / CMO/ biotechnology sector with proven experience of managing customers, expectations and Key Account management.
Strong commercial background with prior experience of generating costing proposals, implementing sales plans and working to sales related targets.
