Job Description

Sell existing company products into new clients (Existing / New)
Utilise all available internal and external databases and market research / resources to identify and target new potential breakout sectors / clients and sell relevant products to them

Sell new company products into new clients (New / New)
Utilise the output from market research studies to target new market sectors and customers within those sectors

Identify new clients that are not in the database and sell our new products to them.
Follow company Sales Procedures in all areas specifically including but not limited to:
code of conduct and Governance
Customer Account Plans
Sales Forecasting on a customer by customer basis
Reporting of sale progression against plan
Monitoring of customer actual sales achieved versus forecast


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Advanced level of skills in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Skilled in understanding and utilising management accounts to drive budgeting and sales performance monitoring
- HND or similar Engineering qualification would be advantageous
- A nationally recognised sales qualification or equivalent
o NVQ
o City & Guilds
o Evidenced in-house sales training
- Demonstrable & referenceable experience in a Business Development role selling technical / physical goods on behalf of a manufacturing organisation to "breakout" customers outside of their traditional markets.
- Experience of business development in lamination applications would be advantageous
