Full-time, Permanent - Temporarily remote
Job Description

An exciting FMCG brand is looking to recruit an immediately available Financial Controller. This role is initially on a temporary basis, with a view to go permanent for the right individual. The business is going through a rapid period of change with significant growth and this role requires someone who can keep up with the pace of the business, and be happy to work in a dynamic, vibrant environment.

Reporting to the CFO, this role will form a major part in providing financial compliance, accurate and timely reporting as well as improving systems.

Responsibilities include:

· Preparation of timely and accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts

· Management and ownership of the Cash flow (actual and budget), including control of the treasury function

· Ownership of day-to-day running of finance including budgets, forecasts, financial performance, compliance monitoring and financial management.

· Set in place rigorous and timely forecasting procedures across the businesses.

· Developing controls and procedures to support group finance, ensure all transactions are reconciled

· Preparation of payroll, VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales returns

· Full budget preparation, including detailed monthly analysis of variances

· Help with preparation of annual accounts and statutory audit (with support from external auditors and CFO)

· Develop strong relationships with all Senior Managers within the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Permanent

Salary: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Technically strong, qualified ICEAW / CIMA Accountant · 3+ year post qualification experience in a similar role · Prior experience of working in a FMCG or retail business · Has to have a high level proficiency in Excel (incl Vlookup, Macros, Pivots etc) · Experience in Xero / Sage accounting · Statutory Audit experience · An inquisitive individual who will challenge and understand all areas of the business to ensure the ultimate accuracy of the financial information. · A practical, commercial individual who is prepared to be hands on, with the added ability to report & work closely with the CFO and directors. · A superb opportunity for someone energetic and self-motivated who will help the business take this brand to the next level.
