Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of administration experience, excellent communication skills and be proficient with a wide variety of computer packages. Knowledge of Patient Centre, record management and clinic management - referrals, appointments and waiting lists in line with 18 week RTT principles – are a necessity. There is a high level of contact with external service users therefore good interpersonal skills are a priority. Strong organizational skills and accuracy are required and the ability to flexibly manage and priorities a full workload.
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to assist with the smooth delivery of service.
- The post holder will manage referrals received and waiting lists using Trust Systems and processes.
- The post holder will be responsible for managing the patient appointment booking line - booking, amending and issuing clinic appointments as required using the Trust system.
- They will maximize use of clinic slots to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided.
- Liaise with parents, clinicians and third parties to arrange appointments as required within service targets.
- Liaise with a range of professionals with regard to appointments and patient enquiries.
- The post holder will develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, clinicians, medical staff and other admin and clerical colleagues.
- The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of Admin and Clerical services.
- The post holder will be expected to participate in cover arrangements within the team.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic filing systems.
