Job Description

• To work independently and with teams in the early creations of 'concept' designs it is essential to communicate and work alongside teams: Industrial Design, Electronic Engineering, and Product Innovation teams.
• Assist in the transmission of final design and production data to suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Create product assembly concepts and space models
• enhance conceptual designs by defining important design characteristics to support creepage and clearance requirements, as well as ESD compliance requirements
• Maintain regular design liaisons with external suppliers (DFM / DFA)
• You will undertake analytical tasks i.e., Tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFSS, Mould flow, FEA, as required
• You will oversee the 3D database and the fabrication of 2D drawings for projects such as idea generation, issue resolution, 3D CAD complex surfacing, part development, and 2D detail drawings, materials selection, process identification, fast prototyping, and lab instruments and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience in designing consumer products or ergonomics or usability of handheld products or high-temperature products (minimum 6 years)

Must have strong skills and experience with SolidWorks, 3D CAD systems and must be able to use both surfacing and solid modelling techniques, specifically PTC Creo and the Windchill PDM systems.
