Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports covering all general ledger reconciliation's, journals and accruals.
  • Prepare, analyse, evaluate and report on all management and statutory accounts; financial statements / monthly management reports
  • Work closely with other departments to manage supplier and client payments, ensuring that the cash flow position is controlled and regularly maintained
  • Provide appropriate information and ensure that analysis is delivered as required in support of the achievement of the company’s strategy and business goals.
  • Developing and managing financial systems/models - ensure controls are in place to confirm the accuracy of the information system data ; if necessary engage appropriate actions to solve these issues
  • Improve internal controls in-line with management guidance and business needs.
  • Assist in the management of the global statutory requirements highlighting any issues in a timely manner
  • Support treasury functions including but not limited to credit control and accounts payable.
  • Oversee finance processes ensuring authorisation procedures are adhered to
  • Provide first line of support to finance assistant in relation to client and supplier enquiries
  • Trade debtor management – generate aged debtor reports, contact clients as appropriate and communicate problematic clients
  • Timely reconciliation of all bank accounts and credit cards
  • Liaise with auditors where necessary to ensure appropriate monitoring of finances is maintained.
  • Other adhoc duties and projects as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3+ years recent experience as an Accounts Assistant/Manager (or equivalent) ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified Strong collaborator with ability to work closely with senior management to influence and support strategic business decisions Excellent communication skills with the ability to delve into the detail and also convey financial information simply. A professional working attitude – we want people who are determined and confident A proactive attitude, with an ability to think on your feet and learn quickly Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Understanding of Sage Line 50 (highly advantageous) Transactional end to end knowledge (highly advantageous)
