Job Description

An Exciting opportunity has arisen within the Team. We are seeking to expand our Medical Devices Contracts team with a band 4 team leader. The successful candidate will already have experience and a knowledge of medical devices management and contract services.
To be responsible for all external medical devices service contracts. To renew and keep up to date existing contracts and generate new contracts when required. To provide evidence of all service work and repairs carried out and to keep an up to date inventory for quality assurance

  • To provide the department with the assurance that all medical equipment serviced outside of the department is maintained effectively via the use of external contracts.
  • To provide effective record keeping and scheduling of all medical devices managed via external service contracts.
  • To prepare Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and monitor the external service provision to ensure all listed equipment is being maintained.
  • Book Medical Equipment in and out of the department, checking for appropriate decontamination paperwork and labelling the equipment to inform users of its status.
  • To assist the Technicians in maintaining and updating records.
  • In conjunction with the procurement, liaise with users, service departments and contractors to arrange mutually agreeable dates for onsite service visits and repairs to be carried out under the contracts, ensuring all service reports are received, logged and monitored.
  • Ensure all contracts are fit for purpose and deliver on the key objectives.
  • To work closely with finance, procurement and all key stakeholders in order to deliver the best service available.
  • To proactively contribute and support all aspects of planning and delivering an equipment replacement programme
  • To ensure appropriate systems are in place for the management of an accurate equipment asset register
