Job Description

Working at the heart of the organization, this role will support our Executive Office, providing a professional administrative and research support service for elected members, Democratic Services, Policy and Intelligence, Performance and Risk, Electoral Services and the Civic Support team. So, no day is the same and there will be plenty of opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills.

You will manage data to ensure effective performance reporting and service planning, this will include supporting members with their resident casework. In this role you will also administer, and undertake statutory activities including the Education Admission Appeals.

You must have experience of working in an office environment, have excellent IT skills and have the ability to be able to work as part of a team. It is also essential that you have knowledge of the council priorities and its political make up.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate must have GCSE A* - C (9-4) or equivalent in Math and English, or NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration, have strong organizational skills with an ability to priorities, plus a track record of facilitating meetings and using systems to analyze and report data. Strong skills in customer service, problem-solving and negotiation are also essential.
