Job Description
You will be working a shift pattern covering 7 days a week (hours between 0700hrs - 0100hrs). This position will require flexibility but is an excellent opportunity to gain experience.
Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound telephone calls, providing information, guidance and advice to a range of queries from members of the public
- Accurately recording details of conversations
- Making fast decisions under pressure using the National Decision Model (NDM) to assess Threat, Harm, Risk, Investigation, Vulnerability and Engagement (THRIVE)
- Dealing appropriately with callers who may be distressed, emotional, vulnerable, drunk, suicidal or in crisis and decide on the right course of action
