Job Description

We're currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join us on a 1-year fixed term basis. This is a fixed term role to support Project Managers to organize temporary accommodation and communicate with affected residents who need to temporarily relocate to allow works to be completed in their homes.

The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in the decant process and ensure there is a continuous programme of empty property available for completion of works. The role will primarily be based in the Plymouth area and will involve liaising and communicating regularly with all affected residents to ensure they are fully informed of timescales dates and other relevant information. Due to travel within this role, applicants will need access to their own transport.

Key deliverables include:

  • Assisting Project Managers with on-site updates both written and verbal to ensure smooth flow of the project and ensuring everyone is informed and up to date with progress.
  • Managing the customer experience, including handling any comments or complaints, escalating where needed.
  • Monitoring of suppliers of temporary accommodation and quality of premises provided.
  • Financial management and monitoring costs of temporary accommodation and admin support of financial management for projects.
  • Providing regular updates and management information on progress of the decant programme.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A strong customer focus and experience coordinating multiple stakeholders is required.
  • Confidence communicating with customers face to face, via phone and email
  • A drive to deliver a successful project outcome to internal and external customers and stakeholders
  • Experience collating reports within Excel to provide insight for decision making
  • Experience within the housing sector or working within a customer driven project team is highly desirable
  • Experience in a project coordinator or equivalent position that will involve multiple and varied daily tasks such as raising purchase orders, assisting with customer communications, updating reports etc.
  • An understanding of complaint handling and resolution is desirable
