Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will have responsibility for a team of 6 finance staff. Your overall role will be to oversee the operational financial management for several different subsidiary organisations, in addition to supporting the parishes and various strategic funding programmes. More specific duties will include:

• Maintaining and developing the organisation`s financial management systems
• Preparation and maintenance of budgets
• Cashflow management
• Management Accounts
• Statutory Accounts
• Provision of comprehensive financial advice and support to service managers
• Staff development & mentoring

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are seeking a fully qualified accountant with recent experience of leading a medium sized team in the commercial or charity sectors. In addition to being a first-rate communicator, you will have excellent presentation and report writing skills and possess an ability to summarise complex finance issues to non- financial staff at all levels. You must also have an appreciation and commitment to providing an excellent level of customer service.
