This will be an interesting and broad ranging role where the Bookkeeper will work closely with the company directors to essentially dissect rental accounts in order to ascertain statutory liabilities. Key responsibilities to include:
- Completion of bookkeeping for a wide range of clients, using a variety of accounting platforms
- Bank reconciliations
- Control account reconciliations
- Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by junior members of staff
- Providing feedback to clients on how they can improve their bookkeeping
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Dealing with client queries by telephone, email and virtual meeting
For this role we seek a candidate with at least 12 months of recently gained and well-rounded bookkeeping exposure, gained in either a commercial or practice based environment. Our client welcomes applicants that are part/fully AAT qualified or those that hold sufficient vocational experience (QBE). Previous experience in working with rental income and property would be highly advantageous but not a pre-requisite for application.
