The Client Accountant’s role is to ensure the timely and accurate operation of the Client Accounts department including preparing or assisting in the preparation of client accounts, liaising with internal and external colleagues /auditors to assist in their processes.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Client Accountant / Accounts Assistant**
Prepare client accounts in accordance with current legislation and industry body requirements.
Arrange and liaise with auditors when audits are due/in progress.
Process any instructions following external and/or internal agreement between parties i.e. making adjustments.
Prepare interim client accounts or associated reporting on client accounts as requested.
Ensuring Annual Returns & Tax Returns are filed on an annual basis where required.
Attend meetings/communicate with as required with Operational Directors, Heads of Departments, Business Development Managers, Regional/Property Managers, Customer Contact Center, External Colleagues, Clients and others to set-up and/or resolve any new business queries or client account queries.
Investigate previous Managing Agents financial transactions and challenge mismanagement of funds when appropriate.

AAT Qualification would be desirable not essential Medium to advanced user of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word Ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial parties Good communication skills over the telephone, via email and in-person Experience of working with budgets and/or preparation and understanding of KPI reporting.
