Job Description
  • Supporting timely production of the monthly management accounts, including preparing and posting journals and reconciliation of control accounts
  • Processing purchase invoices, matching to purchase orders, goods received notes and authorisations
  • Credit card processing and reconciling
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register
  • Prepare the audit file and manage the audit information request lists, including full balance sheet reconciliation and lead schedules, and liaising with external auditors
  • Preparation of monthly payroll for the company for approval by the Financial Controller and CFO.
  • Liaising with external payroll providers, reviewing payroll reports for discrepancies.
  • Set up bank payments for authorisation
  • Staff expenses processing
  • Assist the Financial Controller as required
  • Cover roles of the Finance Assistant as necessary

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified is essential
  • Previous experience in similar role (at least 2 years) is essential
  • Computer & IT literate, including Microsoft Office suite especially Excel is essential
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills is essential
  • You will have a strong academic background and be educated to advanced Maths and English is essential
  • Organised, proactive, adaptable and quick to learn is essential
  • Ability and attitude to meet and/or exceed results and activity targets is essential
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail is essential
  • The ability to manage a busy and varied workload, balancing Management Accountant responsibilities along with assisting with the purchase and sales ledger functions is essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate with senior management is essential
  • Strong/excellent excel skills is desirable
