Job Description
  • Providing an excellent administrative service to members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure they are fully prepared for all meetings and activities.
  • This will include managing diaries and commissioning papers for meetings, as well as note/minute taking, compilation of reports, photocopying, scanning, and gathering information/data as required.
  • Liaison with an array of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all requisite arrangements and high-quality administration are in place and to assist with driving key issues forward.
  • Booking of travel / accommodation arrangements and associated activity in line with business priority, need and value for money.
  • Co-ordinate meetings, planning, and wider administration across the organization.
  • To support and engage with change in own area and within wider company.
  • To participate in learning & development activity and professional development as required in relation to the role.
  • To contribute to an environment of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • To provide excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • To take decisions in accordance with the role's delegated authority under the casework and/or non-casework delegation schemes.
  • To complete any other duties commensurate with the role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • IT literate - Substantial experience of using IT packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience of providing administrative support, including diary management
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
  • Ability to analyze complex written material and identify and summarize key issues
  • Able to influence others including those outside of your direct working relationships
  • Strong motivational skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to priorities workload and a strong attention to detail
  • The ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience of working in a fact-paced customer focused environment demonstrating empathy
  • Experience of thinking and working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of using own initiative and working under pressure
  • Proven success of meeting deadlines and managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively and apply feedback
  • An awareness of public administration (central government in particular) or the NHS and the context in which it operates - ideal but not essential
  • Experience of casework management would be desirable but is not essential
  • Previous project management experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of analyzing, making recommendations and decisions
