Job Description
This is a fixed term role for 3 months and will be based in our offices in Farringdon, London, with some flexibility to work from home each week. You will be a practical problem-solver, with an ability to multi-task and have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key tasks include -
- To provide administrative support to the Head of Publicity (two people executing the role as a job share) and ensure the smooth running of the Publicity team with the execution of specific and general administrative tasks
- Schedules - using house style create and update schedules for attendance at literary festivals
- Updating the events schedule and adding all events to the in-house database
- Assisting with in-office events as directed
- Creating and sending out show cards for events
- Responding to ad hoc requests for jacket images, author and illustrator images, extracts and more to journalists and other industry contacts
- Sending out single copies of books and ordering finished copies for mail outs
- Running mail merges, printing labels, packing books, writing comp slips where needed
- Logging press coverage and managing and filing clippings
- Competitor research
- Dealing with ad hoc tasks and queries - via email, social media or on the phone
- Ad hoc tasks to support campaign implementation as directed by the Head of Publicity
