Job Description

You will be the first point of contact within our vibrant office in Manchester and have a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience and a great first impression to everyone who comes through our doors.

You will join a small team and build your skills and knowledge allowing you to manage a range of queries; from issuing ID and visitor passes, sorting through and distributing post to arranging lunches/refreshments for meetings. This role requires excellent prioritization and communication skills. You will learn to manage multiple queries and communication channels simultaneously and often reactively, provide resolutions and support people with what they need.

Our Receptionist's form part of our Concierge team which is a mix of supporting services such as our IT, Events and Executive Assistant Teams. As the different functions work so closely together it's important that everyone collaborates and works as one amazing team to meet the needs of our colleagues and the business.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship typically lasts 13 - 15 months, requiring dedication, a love of learning, and a genuine aim to succeed. This is a permanent role, and the apprenticeship will support your learning and development.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • To be considered for this apprenticeship, you must not hold a qualification at level 3 or above (examples would be Business Administration, Project Management or Customer Services)
  • You currently hold a level 2 in English and Mathematics GCSE at grade 4 (C) or above or be willing to study these whilst completing your apprenticeship (subject to an entry test)
  • You ideally hold A-Level or BTec qualifications or equivalent
  • You are a natural problem solver who enjoys working with different types of people
  • You will be friendly and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, which will enable you to build relationships and manage multiple communication channels simultaneously e.g. face-to face, live chat, email or phone
  • You have strong organization and prioritization skills and a calm approach that will help you deal with multiple tasks effectively
  • It would be desirable if you have knowledge using IT systems and software; however, this can be taught, so it is not essential
