Due it's rapid and continued growth, the company has struggled to ensure that its infrastructure and back office functions have been able to keep up with the sales and operations. With that in mind, the Financial Controller position will be a varied, fast paced and challenging role that will require the incumbent to balance the development of the accounting processes/systems with playing an active role as part of the senior management team. Once up and running, the Financial Controller will work closely with the Ops Director and so it is essential that all applicants not only have a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) but also have recent experience working for a company in the manufacturing industry.

For this to be a successful hire, it is vital that the in-coming candidate is willing to 'roll their sleeves up' to re-organise, develop and fully understand the workings of the finance department to ensure that more accurate, insightful and timely financial information is produced and available. In addition, my client is looking for a commercially minded accountant who can keep tight control of the finances but also see the bigger picture and present the board team with analysis that adds genuine value and supports the businesses growth.

The successful applicant will initially join the business as Financial Controller but there will be a clear plan in place for that individual to progress to Finance Director within the space of 12 months, so this is a great role for any ambitious Financial Controller to take the next step in their career.
