Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-professional workforce that will significantly increase access to treatment for people with depression, anxiety and other common mental health conditions within a Primary Care setting.
Experience in working within a primary care setting or working in the mental health or related field is essential for this role. Applicants will be expected to work within the service’s business hours (8am – 8pm), therefore the role will be required to work 1 evening.
You would be expected to develop skills where appropriate to meet the developing needs of the team. Additionally, you will need to maintain good working relationships with all members of the team, other teams and departments within the trust, social services and outside bodies.
The main responsibilities of the post:

  • To take telephone referrals, enter data on Trust and Service specific databases and spread sheet, arrange appointments and make up client file in accordance with policy
  • Taking telephone enquiries and messages, ensuring accuracy, confidential and prompt attention of same
  • The photocopying and distribution of documents
  • The preparation of correspondence and reports utilizing word processing and computing skills, to include audio and copy typing
  • To undertake reception duties (in two locations in Dagenham) shared within the administration team and deal with enquires promptly and courteously as required
  • General and complex secretarial/clerical tasks, including taking of minutes when required
  • Keep up to date with knowledge and skills in line with the system
