Job Description
You will be a key member of the team who will be providing administration support alongside conducting fit testing on colleagues.

General Responsibilities
- To be accountable for organizing and prioritizing own workload to ensure deadlines or commitments are achieved.
- To use initiative and work without direct supervision, as well as to use relevant information technology to facilitate the performance of tasks.
- To support team administration and undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade as requested.
- Understands and adheres to all relevant Trust policies, guidelines, procedures and values to deliver excellent customer service.
- Performs fit testing on Trust staff and who are contracted to work within the Trust, including
- Being clear on the fit testing process and being able to describe this to staff
- Ensuring the staff member is eligible to be fitted following an appropriate risk assessment
- Ensuring that fit testing procedures are conducted correctly and as recommended by HSE and any other relevant guidance
- Providing support in fit testing locally to areas of need within the Trust
- Providing expert advice to the staff member for the appropriate wearing of the respiratory protection.
- In collaboration with our colleagues deliver training and monitor of staff to conduct fit testing where required, including
- Fit testers are adequately trained and supervised
- Undertaking any training session(s) advised by HSE in regard to fit testing accreditation.
- Maintaining and monitoring a database relating to fit testing equipment and central fit testing sessions, including
- Suitable fit testing equipment is available
- Fit testing equipment is properly maintained
- Information and fit check instructions are provided for wearers who attend a fit test.
- Adheres to resilience principles by fit testing staff for a minimum of two masks and repeat testing as per the guidance determined by the Government
- Is able to support two basic types of respiratory protective fit testing – qualitative and quantitative.
- Provides result and feedback to the staff that require fit testing, escalating appropriately any outcome of concern to the individual, their line manager and the Officer.
- Provides expert opinion on mask types and suitability for the specific workforce.
- To answer email and telephone queries in relation to fit testing and referring them to the appropriate staff where necessary.
- To ensure fit testing records are kept using the selected method.
- To monitor the fit testing uptake across the Trust personnel and make contact with staff not tested as directed by the Officer.
- To undertake specific project work as requested by team.
- Assist in ad hoc project work as directed.
- To attend and participate in; 1:1 meetings, and appraisals, including performance and productivity monitoring.
- Responsible for identifying own personal development and seeking opportunities to develop.
- To support team to cover for annual leave, sharing good practice where possible.
- To attend and participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for the improvement of departmental systems.
- To participate in annual appraisals and performance reviews including identifying personal development needs.

- Undertakes any other duties as requested and as appropriate to the banding.
- The post requires the ability for frequent prolonged periods of standing and the ability to respond and deal with competing demands.
- The post holder is required to travel across the Trust sites frequently and occasionally visit other organizations across London.
- Be willing to work flexibly to accommodate service needs and be comfortable with occasional weekend and evening working with a maximum of 18 weekends a year.
