Job Description
Receptionist is to provide a full range of administrative/receptionist duties for us in order to support the department/unit to deliver an excellent service to all our Patients and Visitors. Receptionist ensures the smooth and efficient running of all outpatient clinics, day case and inpatient admissions.
Duties:
- Meet and greet patients, visitors, consultants and staff and deal with their enquiries efficiently and professionally
- To receive telephone queries and communicate via e-mail, both internally and externally in an acceptable time frame
- Maintain the ward diary and keep it up to date
- Update and maintain knowledge of hospital services/facilities relevant to the unit
- Ensure all outpatient clinic lists have been received timely and the diary is kept up to date
- Admit and discharge patients on relevant systems
- Add booking forms and pre admit unplanned admissions
- To make bookings for consultant appointments and clinical investigations
