Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, dynamic individual with proven organization and communication skills to provide sales support to the National Account Managers within a fast-paced office environment. In this key role, you will be supporting National Account Managers to achieve targeted turnover and margin aspirations as well as providing a fast and efficient response to customers to maximize sales & promotion opportunities.
Key responsibilities:

  • To work alongside the National Account Manager to primarily provide varied sales support including completing minutes and follow-up sales support to confirm prices, fulfil sample requests (pre & post meeting), chase estimates, collate presentations and specific literature for sales team, maintain showroom and samples, point of sale information, boards/hangars and ensure relevant progress documentation is completed.
  • Constant liaison with customer to keep them informed with progress and any potential problems; resolve problems via a proactive approach to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Lots of communication with internal colleagues and customer to ensure on-time delivery & progress updates with internal merchandising team.
  • Product creation on retailers' systems & completing NLF (new line forms).
  • Comp-shop analysis, market data analysis, monthly sales reports, sales analysis & store visit reports.
  • Generate Category Promotion Plan & compile product offers including prices and availability.
  • Liaise with marketing team for trade show set-ups & possibly attending trade shows for sales support.
  • General sales support & liaising with customers by email & telephone.
  • General office support including general admin, sending samples & post and household duties to support the Directors at meetings (teas/coffees/lunches).
  • Travelling between our Manchester depots to collect & drop off samples (driving licence essential).
  • Main point of contact for facilities & IT for office maintenance & ensuring reception area clear of samples.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • This opportunity would suit a confident, proactive and positive person with good administrative skills and ideally with some customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to coordinate all aspects of sales support.
  • Ability to show initiative and priorities your workload, resolve problems & meet deadlines.
  • Tenacious, resilient with a 'can do' attitude to ensure task completion within timescale.
  • Able to work accurately, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Numerate with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent phone manner & interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships and credibility.
  • Good sales orientation and a clear & confident ambassador for the company.
  • A good team player with ability to accommodate a varied workload and to cope with changing priorities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and embrace new information.
