The successful candidate will be offered a unique opportunity to work with us to develop a brand-new musculoskeletal ‘High Street’ Hub in Enfield. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Administration Team within this new out-patient service. The successful candidate should be passionate about assisting to develop and deliver a service that provides the best possible care for our patients. This is an 18 month fixed-term contract.
We are looking for someone who is well organized and keen to take responsibility for the administrative duties which aid the smooth running of a busy out-patient service. Duties will include entering patient details onto data systems, filing, scanning, making and booking appointments and liaising with service users and staff. You will be supported by the wider team and provided with full training and regular supervision. Applicants should have good written and spoken English, enjoy working productively within a team setting and be able to demonstrate and use their own initiative. Sound administration/clerical skills would be desirable.
The service will be underpinned with a focus on research and quality improvement, which will provide clinicians with opportunities to understand their impact and make continual improvements to the services delivered.
The post-holder will work with other members of the Therapies Administration Team to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the department. As the first point of contact for patients and other visitors to the department, the post-holder will provide a courteous and professional patient centred reception service, and help ensure that all service users have a positive experience of the services we provide. This is a multi-skilled role and the post holder will be expected to rotate on a regular basis between back office and front of house duties. The post holder will work closely with colleagues within the department and Trust to ensure that all patients will be booked appropriately to meet 18-week timescales. The post holder will be required to liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the effective and efficient management of waiting lists and appointment booking system.
